GEEPHOS-CRM972-Aluminum chromating Chemical

GeePhos-CRM972 is a conversion coating primarily used to passivate the surface of an aluminum component. The part surface is converted to the chromate through a chemical reaction. Aluminum Chromate will preserve the life of a part by inhibiting corrosion and preventing oxidation that naturally forms over untreated aluminum.

Aluminum Chromate provides an aesthetic benefit by improving the appearance of the metal. This finish also serves as a good base for paint, adhesives and other applications that require adhesion. This coating has low electrical contact resistance and is ideal for applications that warrant electrical conductivity

Our process can meet the requirements of common industry standards such as MIL-DTL-5541 (MIL-C-5541) and ASTM B 449. We can also meet the requirements of many manufacturer specifications.

  • Protection from corrosion and wear
  • Provides a good base for paint and adhesives
  • A lubrication carrier
  • Electrical conductivity
  • In most cases does not affect critical dimensions
  • Cost effective
  • Provides up to 168 hours of salt spray resistance
